Best price for an MRI

I was looking for a cheap Brain MRI and Scan.com came up. I got $50 off my first booking, which really helped. The total cost was way less than calling local hospitals directly. Definitely felt like I got a good deal.

Good value, minor snag

I booked a Knee MRI through Scan.com for my mom. The price was significantly better than other quotes I got, and the booking process online was straightforward. We used our HSA funds, which was convenient. The scan center itself was professional. The only small issue was a slight delay in getting the full report, it took about 7 business days instead of the 5 they initially estimated. Still, a solid option.

Easy to book a scan

Needed an Ultrasound and Scan.com popped up. It was super easy to book online, just picked a time and place. Got the confirmation right away. No drama, which is what I wanted.

Smooth MRI experience

I needed a Cervical Spine MRI and decided to try Scan.com after hearing about their transparent pricing. The website was easy to navigate; I quickly found an imaging center near me and booked an appointment for the following week. Confirmation emails arrived promptly, detailing everything I needed to know. At the center, check-in was efficient, and the staff were courteous. My results were available online within four days, and the radiologist's report was clear and comprehensive. Payment was simple using my FSA card. Overall, it was a hassle-free process from start to finish, much better than dealing with insurance pre-authorizations.

Reliable for scans

This was my third time using Scan.com, this time for an Abdominal CT. I've used them before for a Knee MRI and a Shoulder MRI. Each time, the process has been consistently smooth. The pricing is always clear upfront, which I appreciate. Finding appointments is easy, and I've never had an issue with the imaging centers they partner with; they're always professional. Results come back pretty quickly. It's why I keep coming back – I know what to expect and they deliver.

Thinking of booking a CT scan through Scan.com. Does anyone know if they accept HSA cards? Gotta use up those funds before the year ends.

L Luke L. 4 days ago
Yep, they do! I paid for my brain MRI with my HSA card, went through no problem.

what's the deal with the first booking discount? Is it automatically applied or do I need a code for it? Trying to get an MRI scheduled soon.

E Elizabeth T. 6 days ago
I think you usually need a code for it. Check if they have a popup on their site or sign up for their newsletter, sometimes they send one there.

Afaik, it's a promo code you enter at checkout. Keep an eye out when you're booking, it's usually clear where to put it in.

How long does it typically take to get the results back after a scan with Scan.com? I'm kinda anxious to hear what's up with my shoulder.

S Sarah Evans 4 weeks ago
For my MRI, I got the report in like, 2-3 business days. It wasn't instant but faster than waiting for my doctor's office to get it and then call me.

My CT results were pretty quick, I think it was less than 48 hours for the radiologist report. They send you an email when it's ready.

is Scan.com actually legit or is it one of those sketchy online things? I've seen some ads but not sure if it's reliable for something serious like a medical scan.

M Matt Rivera 3 weeks ago
Totally legit. They just connect you with real imaging centers. It's not like they're doing the scans in someone's basement lol. All the radiologists are board-certified too.

I used them for a full body MRI and it was a proper clinic, just like going through your doctor but I booked it myself. Felt super secure and professional.

Hey has anyone used Scan.com before? I need an MRI but my insurance deductible is insane. Are their prices actually good or is it just like a small discount off normal rates?

L Linda E. 1 month ago
Yeah I used them for a knee MRI last month. The price was way better than what my insurance quoted, even after their 'negotiated rate'. It was for sure cheaper than going through a hospital direct.

I think it varies by scan and location, but generally yes. I compared it to another self-pay place and Scan.com was competitive. Plus, no referral needed was a huge plus for me.
